Youth Forward Interact Club

The "Youth Forward" Interact Club at CEC/Middle College of Denver has hit the ground running. The club was formed in September of 2010 with the support of the Denver Mile High and the Sky High Rotary clubs and already has over 20 active members and has participated in fund-raising and community events. At the Villa Park Holiday Party in December, children picked out gifts for their parents at a free store with gift wrapping. The Interact club members managed the store and did a wonderful job.

The Denver Mile High club held a regularly scheduled meeting at the school on Feb. 9, 2011 and had a maximum capacity crowd which included members of the Sky High club as well as the Interact Club, during which the club members were recognized for their contribution to the Villa Park Holiday party.

The Youth Forward Interact Club has decided on avenues of service for the next year - youth suicide prevention, reading to the young and underprivileged, and providing back-to-school immunizations in partnership with a Walgreen's store. Both the Sky High and DMH rotary clubs have pledged financial support of these programs.

The Youth Forward Interact Club meetings are held every Thursday at 2:45 PM in room 217 of the CEC School. Please join us whenever you can.
