State of the State Luncheon and Mental Well-Being Symposium + Expo, December 7, 2017
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper will headline the 11th State of the State Luncheon on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Denver Marriott Tech Center. Kim Christiansen of 9News will emcee the Luncheon, which also features Susan Klebold, the mother of Dylan Klebold, one of the two Columbine shooters. Ms. Klebold has spent the last 17 years examining every detail of her family life, trying to understand the crucial intersection between mental health issues and violence. She has become a passionate agent working to advance mental health awareness and intervention. She is the author of A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy.
The Mental Well-Being Symposium and Mental Health and Wellness Expo will precede the Luncheon. The Symposium offers three sessions with a choice of nine timely and important topics. The Expo is expected to feature 30+ organizations supporting mental health in our community. This portion of the event is FREE!
