$1 Million Hole-in-One Shootout

Our annual $1 Million Hole-in-One Shootout is the primary fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Denver Mile High Foundation, our club foundation that funds most of our humanitarian activities each year.  Funds from the Foundation also provide seed money for Rotary Matching Grants that support our larger international and local humanitarian projects.  The Shootout is held each June at Kennedy Golf Course. 

Projects that have benefitted from the Shootout include:

--A water distribution system in a community outside of Nairobi, Kenya

--An HIV/AIDS prevention program in Zimbabwe

--Teaching BrainWise critical thinking skills to elementary school students

--Providing bicycle helmets and safety training to disadvantaged urban kids.

This year's Shootout, our fourth, was held on June 12 and 13 despite the rainy weather. Attracting more and better golfers, it awarded prizes throughout the day as players competed for the final event on Sunday, June 13--the chance to win One Million Dollars.
