Greetings Fellow Denver Mile High Rotarians;

As your President, I would encourage you to go on our club website and see the photographs from the mini-dinner at Joe Pahl's home. And, it's not too late to sign up for a future min-dinner!  (If you have photographs from a fellowship event or a service project, please forward them to our Wed-Master, Steve Sehnert.)


Also, look for summaries of our past programs in the Newsletter and on our website. Jack Houser is leading the initiative to capture the content of our programs for Rotarians who could not be present for our meeting. If you would like to help with this, please contact Jack.

Finally, again I would like to encourage you to attend the District Training Seminar on Grants scheduled for July 31st. This is a half day session on a Saturday morning that will teach you everything that you ever wanted to know about District and Rotary International grants... but were afraid to ask. (The price of registration will be reimbursed by our club.)

July 21stLisa Diaz - iDiaz Marketing - Social Media and Marketing and What It Can Do for your Business

 

July 28th - Mike Johnston, the Colorado State Senator who is leading efforts to upgrade Colorado public education.  A school principal and former teacher, Johnston is credited with the recently-passed legislation to transform teacher tenure that's hailed as a national model

Aug 5th - Heidi Resetarits leaves for Costa Rica for her Ambassadorial Scholarship

 

Aug 8th - Denver Mile High will honor our outgoing president, Carolyn Schrader, at the annual Summer Picnic.  The picnic (brunch) will be at the home of Diane Messamore from 10 to 1.  Mark your calendars.  More details will be forthcoming.

 

Aug 12th - We will celebrate and honor the memory of Bob Hite - The ceremony will be at 5:30 pm in Cheeseman Park, at the site of the red oak tree our Club planted in Bob's memory.  Afterwards, we are invited to Sarah Hite's home for wine and cheese and Fellowship.
