Family of Rotary -
Jack,
I just read the e-blast for this week. Congratulations on all of your well earned recognition at the district conference this year. The didn't directly mention you for the 14% growth, but I know that you had a big part in that too!
Thank you again for introducing me to the Rotary Club. I am honored to be a part of Rotary and join the ranks of men like you. My goals are dragging me all over the world right now, but I anticipate being active with a club again.
Thank you as well for your support of my work in Nairobi. This time has been a gift to me as I grow professionally, expand my network, and continue to work towards my goals. Living in Africa is almost everything I imagined. The thing that I didn't expect was how much it made me appreciate home.
Semper Fidelis,
Keith

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES to support our club's Hole In One Golf Shootout event. If you can volunteer to help on the days of the event (June 12 &13) please see the attached schedule labeled "Rotary_Golf_Volunteer_Workers_2010.xls". If you are not available to volunteer on either of those two days, perhaps you could volunteer to visit another Rotary Club in the Denver metropolitan area to help advertise our event and pre-sell tickets. Please see the attached list labeled "Volunteer List Rotary Hole In One Fundraiser.doc" Please contact Geoff Noble by e-mail at gtnoble@comcast.net if you can help.
We also need to solicit contributions of $50.00 gift certificates from local restaurants that will be awarded as prizes during our Hole In One Golf Shootout event. If you have a favorite restaurant, please approach the owner/manager with the attached blank gift certificate form, The Donation Form for the $50 Gift Certificates goes to the restaurant – we get the $50 Gift Certificate. Gift certificates should be given to Marion Leggett. Thanks!

Local Community Service committee will be meeting after the club meeting on 5/12 from 8:30 - 9:30 at the U-Club to discuss potential projects for next year. Any and all ideas and club members are welcome.
Thanks,
Jane Fisher

The Rotary District Assembly is a half-day training event hosted by our District. The event is scheduled for Saturday morning, June 5th from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Start your day with some coffee and a continental breakfast, and then participate in some excellent training to prepare you for specific leadership roles in our club. There are training sessions dedicated to a wide variety of jobs, including Club Secretary, Club Treasurer, Committee Chairs, Membership, the Rotary Foundation... and many more. This is also an EXCELLENT opportunity for a new Rotarian to learn a lot about Rotary in general, in a short period of time. For those who volunteer to attend the District Assembly, this activity will count as a make-up for your attendance AND the Denver Mile High Rotary Club will reimburse you for your registration fee.
On-line registration is now available for the District Training Assembly. http://www.rotary5450.org/events/Club-Ldr-Training/index.htm
If YOU cannot attend, it would be good to find someone on your committee (maybe a "new" Rotarian) to go to this training.
It's ONLY a half a day and includes a continental breakfast.
The club will reimburse you for the $25.00 registration fee.
Lee Mulberry and I have already registered on-line
